The East High Performing Arts Parents have long operated without formal bylaws or an executive board. However, as our membership expands and our responsibilities toward students and staff evolve, it has become necessary to better understand our purpose and establish clear roles and responsibilities within our group.

During our February 2024 Performing Arts Parents Meeting, a preliminary version of our bylaws along with detailed descriptions for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer were introduced to all attendees. It was collectively decided that we would take time to review the draft thoroughly and reconvene during our March meeting to share our thoughts, suggestions, and ideas. Once a consensus is reached on the final draft, we will proceed with the voting process to formally establish the bylaws. Once the bylaws are completed we can proceed with the election of an Executive Board for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year at a later date.
